With 11 years of professional experience, Maurício Outeiro started his career as Surveyor, in 1990, shortly after concluding High School. He worked in this area until 1992, when he decided to return to school, combining school and work.
He graduated in Civil Engineering (Structures) at Instituto Superior Técnico, in 1999 and started to work in structural design, particularly in the bridges area. Since then he has gained experience in developing studies and designs for concrete and prestressed structures and in structures supervision, in Portugal but also in other countries, such as Spain, Mozambique and Dominican Republic.
Currently, Maurício is the Bridges Department Technical Director, assuming the responsibility for the entire area of structural design and rehabilitation, especially bridges and viaducts, over and underpasses.
