The EXEO OFFICE CAMPUS, composed of 3 office buildings - AURA, LUMNIA and ECHO – which will be built right next to Parque das Nações in Lisbon, is the largest and most modern office development being designed in Portugal, with around 70,000 m² of above-ground construction area. QUADRANTE is responsible for all the Engineering Projects, including retaining walls, structures, hydraulic and electrical trades, safety and mechanical facilities.
The project, whose architecture was designed by two renowned ateliers, included working and public areas for gardens, commerce, services and leisure in a single space. It has been designed to ensure high Sustainability solutions (aiming at LEED Gold certification), and structural spans that allow wide spaces and façades, while providing considerable luminosity and unobstructed views, without compromising thermal and acoustic comfort.
In addition to these specifications, special mention to the earth retaining walls which have been designed considering the proximity of the underground tunnel (which is at some point 5 m away from the walls) and high groundwater levels. Both constraining factors required a robust structural design which ensures low deformability and a highly reliable waterproofing and drainage system.
The Project was developed in BIM in an integrated and coordinated manner.
